BPM Microsystems
Overview
Founded in 1985, BPM Microsystems is a global supplier of engineering and production device programmers and is the leading supplier of automated programming systems to the semiconductor and electronics industries.
BPM Microsystems offers a full line of device programmers, which include Universal Manual Programmers, and Fine-Pitch Automated Programming Systems, designed to meet all of your programming requirements. Their industry-leading technologies provide the most flexible, value-focused programmers designed to lower the cost of programming. From the lowest to the highest in programming volume, BPM Microsystems has a solution that will fit your needs and will grow as your business grows.
BPM continues to lead the industry in universal device support for programmable semiconductor devices by releasing new programming algorithms multiple times per week. Their modular design means that the same algorithms used on manual programmers also run on their production programmers, ensuring a smooth and rapid transition from prototype to production.
BPM offers comprehensive, worldwide technical support and user training. Their customer focus has set the standard in support, performance, ease-of-use, and cost-of-ownership.
Products and Services
Having delivered more fine-pitch automated programming systems than all of their competitors combined, BPM Microsystems' products set the standard in the industry. The company once again advanced the technology in 2017 by introducing the Enhanced 9th Generation Programming Technology. BPM's automated and manual production programmers are the fastest universal programmers in the industry. The Automated programmers also have the most throughput of any fine-pitch automated programmer and is capable of programming devices at a maximum throughput of over 1700 Devices Per Hour with vision centering. BPM delivers the fastest programming speeds in the industry for MCUs, eMMC HS400, NAND, NOR, and Serial Flash devices. BPM’s 9th Gen technology produces 200 MHz signals, transferring each byte of data in up to 2.5 nanoseconds―up to 9 times faster than competing systems.
To help get the latest designs to market faster, all of their Manual and Automated Programmers use the same algorithms. They also come standard with BPWin software that allows users to easily set up, save and securely transfer job information, and programming data, even by e-mail, between facilities around the country or around the world. This seamless and paperless transfer means design centers, production facilities, and programming centers can program the device exactly as intended the first time.
The latest Microchip Silicon Sculptor 4 programmer was developed by BPM Microsystems for Microchip based on the 9th Gen Manual programmer. This Microchip device-specific programmer, like its predecessors, is compatible with existing adapter modules and uses the Microchip device-specific Silicon Sculptor software; this software will also operate on device generic manual programmers from BPM Microsystems, owing to the strong partnership arrangement between BPM Microsystems and Microchip during the last decade.
Silicon Sculptor 4 Benefits:
- Programs all Microchip packages, including PLCC, PQFP, VQFP, VQFP, QFN, BGA, FBGA, and CSP
- Universal Microchip socket adapters
- Works with Silicon Sculptor III Adapter Modules
- Uses the same Silicon Sculptor software as Silicon Sculptor II
- Compatible with Silicon Sculptor software v4.59.2 and later
- Security fuse can be programmed to secure the devices
- Allows self-test to test its own hardware
- STAPL support for IGLOO, ProASIC3, Fusion, and ProASICPLUS
