BPM Microsystems
Overview

Founded in 1985, BPM Microsystems is a global supplier of engineering and production device programmers and is the leading supplier of automated programming systems to the semiconductor and electronics industries.
BPM Micro offers a full line of device programmers, which include Universal Programmers, Concurrent Programming Systems ®, and Fine-Pitch Automated Programming Systems, designed to meet all of your programming requirements. Our industry-leading technologies provide customers with the most flexible, value-focused programmers designed to lower the cost of programming. From the lowest to the highest in programming volume, BPM Microsystems has a product that will fit your needs and will grow as your business grows.
We continue to lead the industry in universal device support for programmable semiconductor devices by releasing new programming algorithms five times per week. Our modular design means that the same algorithms used on our engineering programmers also run on our production programmers, ensuring a smooth and rapid transition from prototype to production.
BPM Micro offers comprehensive, worldwide technical support and user training. Our customer focus has set the standard in support, performance, ease-of-use, and cost-of-ownership.
Products and Services
Having delivered more fine-pitch automated programming systems than all of our competitors combined, BPM Microsystems' products set the standard in the industry. The company once again advanced the technology in 2004 by introducing the Enhanced 7th Generation Programming Technology. BPM Micro's automated and manual production programmers are the fastest universal programmers in the industry. The 4710 also has the most throughput of any fine-pitch automated programmer and is capable of programming 128-Mbit devices at maximum throughput of 1400 Devices Per Hour with vision centering.
To help get the latest designs to market faster, all of our Engineering and Production Programmers use the same algorithms. They also come standard with Jobmaster™, software which allows users to easily set up, save and securely transfer job information, and programming data, even by e-mail, between facilities around the country or around the world. This seamless and paperless transfer means design centers, production facilities, and programming centers can program the device exactly as intended the first time.
The latest Microsemi Silicon Sculptor 3 programmer (as well as the Silicon Sculptor II programmer and previous Silicon Sculptor I programmer) was developed by BPM Microsystems for Microsemi. This Microsemi device-specific programmer, like its predecessors, is compatible with existing adapter modules and uses the Microsemi device-specific Silicon Sculptor software; this software will also operate on device generic engineering programmers from BPM Microsystems, owing to the strong partnership arrangement between BPM Microsystems and Microsemi Corporation during the last decade.
Silicon Sculptor 3 Benefits:
- Programs all Microsemi packages, including PLCC, PQFP, VQFP, VQFP, QFN, BGA, FBGA, and CSP
- Universal Microsemi socket adapters
- Works with Silicon Sculptor II Adapter Modules
- Uses the same Silicon Sculptor software as Silicon Sculptor II
- Compatible with Silicon Sculptor software v4.59.2 and later
- Security fuse can be programmed to secure the devices
- Allows self-test to test its own hardware
- STAPL support for IGLOO, ProASIC3, Fusion, and ProASICPLUS
