Overview
Solectrix, founded in 2005, is an independent service provider specialized on the development of embedded systems.The company’s expertise stems from years of working on medical technology, high-end camera electronics as well as automotive and industrial projects.
Solectrix works closely with Solectrix Systems, founded in 2008 by the same creative core, which acts as a production and sales company that enables small-scale production runs.

Solectrix offers high-end cameras based on its own proCAM platform. These include the 2D/3D remote head HD camera system sinaCAM, its 2D broadcast offshoot sinaCAM LT, and medCAM, a 2D/3D camera system for medical applications.
Another line of original Solectrix products is the SXoM family of System-on-Module PCBs. Among its first members are the SXoM-C5 and the SXoM-K7 – the world’s first SoMs based on the Smart Mobility ARChitecture (SMARC™) to feature CPU and FPGA in one chip. Another Solectrix SoM PCB is the SXoM-SF2, based on a Microsemi® SmartFusion®2 M2S050 SoC.
SXoM-SF2 Features

SXoM-SF2 is a complete System-on-Module (SoM) in an ultra-compact 55 mm x 30 mm form factor. The board is designed to function as the system core of modular platforms for high-performance DSP applications.
The core of SXoM-SF2 is a Microsemi® SmartFusion®2 M2S050 SoC (System-on-a-Chip) that combines a flash-based FPGA fabric featuring 56K logic cells with an ARM®-based hard processor system running at 166 MHz.

IP Blocks or Software included in SXoM-SF2
One SXoM-SF2 example application uses the SoC as the DSP unit for image processing. The FPGA is used to implement two HD-SDI interfaces for the input data, a high-quality image scaler, and a custom PCIe-based streaming server solution for the output data.
