Products and Services
Anybus CompactCom 40-series
Anybus CompactCom 40-series products for industrial Ethernet solutions are based on Microsemi’s SmartFusion2 system-on-chip SoC FPGA devices. The highly secure Anybus CompactCom products offer customers lower total cost of ownership and accelerated time-to-market with a multi protocol solution covering all major Industrial Ethernet networks as well as well-established Fieldbus networks. The Anybus CompactCom solution makes it possible for customers to use or design one common Ethernet hardware platform and then download "any" industrial Ethernet protocol software.
Anybus CompactCom 40-series Offering – Module, Brick, Chip
The Anybus Module provides instant plug-in connectivity to all major industrial networks. Each module contains a complete communication interface for each industrial network and is available with or without housing. The module solutions reduces the number of variations of your automation product without losing the flexibility to support many different industrial networks on one hardware platform.
The Anybus Brick is a pluggable Industrial Ethernet/fieldbus option card that provides instant connectivity to all major industrial networks. The Brick excludes the interface circuits (isolation) to provide more design flexibility with the possibility for longer distances between the brick and the network connector. Customers can use the brick solution when working with space or IP class constraints, or if the option to add choice of network connectors is desired.
The Anybus Chip allows customers to integrate Anybus technology directly into their PCB design and has a eady-made Anybus network interface available on-chip.The software and host application interface is the same as in Anybus-CompactCom Brick or Module.
Anybus NP40 Architecture

- Optimized stacks and controllers
The network controllers, implemented in hardware (VHDL), are provided with the protocol stacks and are optimized for best performance and flexibility. - Low-level pre-processing
Protocol pre-processing in hardware (VHDL) enables "zero delay” process data latency. - Internal API separation
An internal API separates the network application from the host interface, providing a high-performance, event driven architecture. - High performance host interfaces
High performance host APIs implemented in hardware (VHDL) provides deterministic interfaces with extremely low latency.
