SA3-23 Datasheet
This surface mountable zener diode series is similar to the 1N3016 thru 1N3051 JEDEC registration in the DO-13 package except that it meets the surface mount DO-213AB outline. It is an ideal selection for applications of high density and low parasitic requirements. Due to its glass hermetic seal qualities and metallurgically enhanced internal construction, it is also well suited for high-reliability applications. This can be acquired by a source control drawing (SCD), or by ordering device types with MQ, MX, or MV prefix to part number for equivalent screening to JAN, JANTX or JANTXV.

SA3-31 Datasheet
The 1N5221BUR thru 1N5281BUR series of 0.5 watt Zener Voltage Regulators provides a surface mount equivalent to the popular JEDEC registered 1N5221B to 1N5281B for 2.4 to 200 volts in standard 5% tolerances as well as tighter tolerances identified by different suffix letters on the part number. These are also available with an internal-metallurgical-bond option by adding a “-1” suffix (see separate data sheet). Microsemi also offers numerous other Zener products to meet higher and lower power applications.

This SMBJ5.0-170A or SMBG5.0-170A series of surface mount 600 W Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVSs) protects a variety of voltage-sensitive components from destruction or degradation. It is available in J-bend design (SMBJ) with the DO-214AA package for greater PC board mounting density or in a Gull-wing design (SMBG) in the DO-215AA for visible solder connections. It is also available in both unidirectional and bidirectional configurations with a C or CA suffix part number as well as RoHS Compliant with an e3 suffix. Their response time is virtually instantaneous. As a result, they can be used for protection from ESD or EFT per IEC61000-4-2 and IEC61000-4-4, or for inductive switching environments and induced RF protection. They can also protect from secondary lightning effects per IEC61000-4-5 and class levels defined herein. This popular Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) series for 1N6036 thru 1N6072A are JEDEC registered selections for bidirectional devices. All have the same high Peak Pulse Power rating of 1500 W with extremely fast response times. They are also available in military qualified selections as described in the Features section herein. They are most often used for protecting against transients from inductive switching environments, induced RF effects, or induced secondary lightning effects as found in lower surge levels of IEC61000-4-5. They are also very successful in protecting airborne avionics and electrical systems. Since their response time is virtually instantaneous, they can also protect from ESD and EFT per IEC61000-4-2 and IEC61000-4-4.

SA4-21 Datasheet This series of 500 watt voidless hermetically sealed unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) are military qualified to MIL-PRF-19500/551 and are ideal for high-reliability applications where a failure cannot be tolerated. These devices are bidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVSs) for shipboard equipment and power servicing equipment where large voltage transients endanger voltage sensitive components. It meets all applicable environmental requirements of MIL-S-19500 and is consistent with MIL-E-16400. Designed with MIL-STD-1399 Section 300A (Interface standard for shipboard systems, Electrical power, alternating current) as the controlling specification. The subassembly components can also be tested or screened for military requirements prior to encapsulation into the complete module. The screening would consist of 100% TX level environmental testing per MIL-PRF-19500/507A (Par. 4.3). For ordering these options, use the following suffix:
H1 – Submodule Screening
H2 – Submodule and Module Screening
H3 – Submodule and Module Screening & Module Group B & C lot testing
The individual submodules can also be selected for lower or higher voltage as well as increased power capability compared to the example 200 volt 60 and 90 kW herein.

These two modularized unidirectional TVS products are primarily used in avionics or other demanding applications for transient voltage protection. They meet all applicable environmental requirements of MIL-PRF-19500 and may be used for both commercial and military applications. The controlling specification for these devices is MIL-STD-704 (Characteristics and Utilization of Aircraft Electric Power) where these 15 kW assemblies are designed typically to operate with a low source impedance of 0.25 Ohms for transients to protect equipment from induced lightning, power surges, and transients originating from inductive switching or power interrupt. The subassembly components can also be tested or screened for military requirements prior to encapsulation into the complete module. The screening would consist of 100% TX level environmental testing per MIL-PRF-19500/500 (Par. 4.3). For ordering these options, use the following suffix:
H1 – Submodule Screening
