Virtualized Service Aware Architecture (ViSAA™) service-aware switch architecture technology is exclusively available in Microsemi’s portfolio of Carrier Ethernet switches. Integrated into the Ethernet switching layer silicon, and complemented by Microsemi CEServices™ Ethernet software, ViSAA provides a scalable, hardware-based, efficient solution for enabling MEF CE 2.0 Carrier Ethernet service delivery in networking equipment, such as Ethernet Access Devices (EAD) and Network Interface Devices (NID), used for small cell and macrocell backhaul in fiber and wireless networks.
When combined with Microsemi’s Intellisec™-enabled Ethernet PHYs with IEEE 802.1AE MACsec, only ViSAA can enable the secure, high performance and reliable networks required to move mission-critical Enterprise applications to the cloud.
