LX5532
Overview
The LX5532* is a power amplifier optimized for IEEE 802.11ac/a/n applications in the 5.15 GHz to 5.85 GHz frequency range. The LX5532 includes a three-stage PA, active bias, input/output matching, and a harmonic filter. The power amplifier operates with a single positive voltage supply of 5V. It provides a gain of 32 dB at output powers of 23 dBm for IEEE 802.11ac, MCS9, HT80 at −35 dB DEVM and 25 dBm for IEEE 802.11n, MCS7, HT40 at −30 dB DEVM across the frequency band. It is fully matched to 50 ohms on both the input and output ports. The 2nd and 3rd harmonics are below −50 dBm/MHz over the frequency band due to an integrated harmonic filter. The LX5532 also features an on-chip power detector to help reduce BOM cost and PCB space for implementation of power control in a typical wireless system. The LX5532 is available in a 20-pin, 4-mm × 4-mm, quad-flat no-lead package (QFN 4×4-20L), which can be shipped either in an ESD bag (LX5532LQ) or with tape-and-reel packaging (LX5532LQ-TR). The compact footprint, low profile, and excellent thermal capability make the LX5532 an ideal solution for IEEE 802.11ac/a/n applications.
