Overview
SmartFusion2 Starter KitMicrosemi's SmartFusion2 Starter Kit provides designers with access to SmartFusion2 system-on-chip (SoC) FPGAs, which integrate an inherently reliable flash-based FPGA fabric, a 142 MHz ARM Cortex-M3 processor, DSP blocks, SRAM, eNVM, and high-performance communication interfaces all on a single chip.The SmartFusion2 starter kit supports industry-standard interfaces including Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C and UART and includes a comprehensive breadboard to support unique design requirements. The kit can be used with Microsemi's Libero SoC v11.0 software or later, which includes a free Libero Gold license. Emcraft Systems' Linux-based development environment is supported with this kit. The kit comes preloaded with a uClinux demo. The SmartFusion2 device is available on an Emcraft Systems miniature mezzanine form factor system-on-module (M2S-FG484 SOM), which connects to the SOM-BSB-EXT baseboard. The kit is USB powered and includes FlashPro4 programming hardware.

The replacement kit is SF2060-STARTER-KIT. Licensing SF2060-STARTER-KIT is discontinued and Microsemi is not supporting this kit.Starting 13th March 2017, due to changes in licensing options, SF2060-STARTER-KIT and SF2-STARTER-KIT Starter kits will require a Libero Gold license. While SF2484-STARTER-KIT will require a Libero Silver license or above. Please refer CN17012 to read more about new licensing options.
