Converting SG1524 switching power supply designs to the SG1524B PS-5
Many power control engineers have designed successful switching power supplies around the SG1524 Pulse Width Modulator integrated circuit. This application note explains the differences between this earlier device and the more sophisticated SG1524B.

Deadband with the SG1524 Regulating PWM Circuit PS-3 The SG1524 Regulating P.W.M. integrated circuit provides two outputs which alternate in turning on for push-pull inverter applications. The internal oscillator sends a momentary blanking pulse to both outputs at the beginning of each period to provide a deadband so that there cannot be a condition where both output transistors are on at the same time. |
