In the year 2003, PowerDsine expanded its traditional sales
strategy of partnering with key OEM companies, to a direct
channel of sales via international and national distribution
channels in the USA and Europe.
PowerDsine and its distribution partners combine expertise and
resources in the areas of marketing and sales, to promote
Power over Ethernet Midspan family solutions
to resellers and end-users in the cabling infrastructure,
wireless and security markets.
We are looking to develop a strong channel presence;
therefore special programs are constantly offered to create
awareness of the benefits of Power over Ethernet amongst
reseller, systems integrators and VARs. The PoE products
offer an excellent fit with its distributors' networking
portfolio. It also offers substantial opportunities for
additional revenue to the distributors reseller base in the
wireless, IP Telephony and security arenas.
Currently, we have signed agreements with major
distributors in the US: Anixter, D&H, Westcon/Comstor, and WAV,
and in Europe with Westcon/Comstor, Ingram Micro and Dacon.
According to the WEEE Directive, PowerDsine must manage the
take-back electrical or electronic equipment waste covered
under the WEEE Directive, for all PowerDsine products put on
the market after August 13, 2005.
